On August 1-2, the 6th annual Women Leaders in Healthcare Conference will be held at the Omni Nashville Hotel in Nashville, TN. The event is organized by Modern Healthcare, the “leader in healthcare business news, research and data,” and is just one of the multiple educational events hosted by the organization each year.
As the name implies, the Women Leader in Healthcare Conference focuses on ambitious women professionals in healthcare and networking opportunities, speaker series and discussion panels, all designed to “improve leadership potential, enhance skill sets and inform decision-making.”
Speakers and forums
This year’s keynote speakers include President of American Nurses Association, Pamela Cipriano, PhD, RNNEA-BC, FAAN, who will present on the “Worst Practices in the Workplace and How to Counteract Them.”
IBM Watson Health General Manager Deborah DiSanzo will also be there to speak on the major role women play in transforming healthcare, primarily when it comes to improving value and reducing costs.
Other topics to be discussed this year include cultivating a personal brand in healthcare, addressing working through generational differences amongst peers, and adapting to and pursuing new job opportunities as healthcare grows.
Not only will highly-acclaimed professionals present on these and a number of other relevant healthcare issues, but the audience of 200-250 attendees will have the opportunity to interact, debate and collaborate with them on these topics as well.
Empowering women in healthcare
The Women Leaders in Healthcare Conference is a vital opportunity and educational experience for women who love and are serious about the role they play as individuals and as a whole in healthcare. In the words one past attendee, “it provided a safe environment for women to discuss challenges they face but also to obtain pearls of wisdom to continue advancing in the healthcare arena.”
