I am extremely passionate about preventative health!!!
Who was/is your inspiration?
My parents are my biggest supporters and role models. My father is a nurse and seeing his passion for patients and truly caring for people fueled my academic desire to become a physician. And my mother is a role model for me in a different way--she has inspired me to be a better person and care for everyone like they are family. She also has shown me what it means to be a supportive mother to my future children and for that I am forever grateful!
Fun Fact 1:
My parents live on the Big Island of Hawaii!
Fun Fact 2:
My favorite food is TACOS!!!!!
Do you have any advice for others interested in entering your field?
Think of medical school like a marathon--not a sprint. Work hard. Schedule time for relaxation and fun. This hard work WILL pay off.
