Jessica Geida, DO is an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician born and raised in Pennsylvania. She attended Penn State University for Undergrad and PCOM for her medical training. In her free time, Jesica loves cooking, working out, reading, and any show on ABC. She also has a kitty who's originally from Puerto Rico named Bella, and has recently become engaged to her best friend.
In her own words,
"I love participating in the care of women. I think that as a female myself I can truly relate to my patients and understand their needs on a deeper level. Also, bringing life into the world and helping a patient through one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences (birth) of their life is so amazing. The biggest challenge of my career in medicine has been to find balance between work, learning, my health and wellness, and my personal life. Medicine is so much more than a job it's a way of life and sometimes it's really hard to put yourself first in a field where the patient is always your primary concern.
Professional style to me means how you treat others. My goal is to never forget how I felt as a medical student and to always treat everyone - patients, co residents, attendings, nursing, the cleaning crew, the caffateria cook, with respect because without this TEAM the hospital environment wouldn't function."
