Daniela DiCenso, DO is a 3rd year Internal Medicine resident in Miami Beach who will be beginning her fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Miami this June. Originally from Venezuela, Daniela came to the United States when she was 15 and finished high school and college in Miami, before moving to Kansas City and completed her D.O. Degree at Kansas City University. During medical school she met her husband, a fellow physician specializing in emergency medicine. When she isn't working, Daniela loves traveling, exercising, cooking and dancing.
In her own words,
"I always wanted to be a physician. I love going to work everyday. Every patient is different. Nothing is predictable. My mother is also an international medical graduate, when we came from Venezuela ~12 years ago, she was able to revalidate her career, here in the USA. I want to encourage other immigrant physicians to live out their own American dream."
